    Sukhbir (Sony) Singh, MD, FRCSC, FACOG

    Sony is a Canadian leader in minimally invasive gynecology education, patient care, and innovative surgical techniques. He is currently the Chief of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Newborn Care at The Ottawa Hospital and Professor and Chair, of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa.

    Karine is a minimally invasive gynecologist with enhanced leadership and education training. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa and sits on the competency committees for Postgraduate training at the same university. She is also the AAGL co-fellowship Director in Minimally Invasive Gynecology in Ottawa.

    Hassan is currently the vice-chair of the Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS.ca). His main areas of interest are Pelvic floor surgery, cervical pathology, and minimally invasive surgery. His research and education interests are focused on patient safety and surgical education as well as capacity building and knowledge transfer within the international medical community. Hassan is involved with ongoing clinical and educational projects in East Africa.

    Tamer is an Assistant Professor and Clinician Educator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. He pursued a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at University of Auvergne, Clermont Ferrand in France and a Diploma in Advanced Gynecological Ultrasound. As a leader and health advocate, he has helped disseminate gynecologic surgical and educational principles nationally and internationally.

    Teresa is currently a Senior Clinical Research Associate in the department of Clinical Epidemiology at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute facilitating investigator led research studies with the Ottawa Minimally Invasive Gynecology research team as well as the Department of Radiology 3D Printing, AI and Machine Learning Team.

    Chelsie is starting her second year of fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital while concurrently pursuing a fellowship in simulation and medical education. With the OMIG group, she is acquiring advanced knowledge and skills in managing gynecologic conditions, including hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, and open techniques, as well as complex obstetrical cases.

    Brigitte is starting her second year of fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the Ottawa Hospital while concurrently pursuing a fellowship in Simulation and Medical Education at the University of Ottawa.     Geneviève is the AAGL fellow for the 2022-2024 academic programme. She is passionate about improving women’s health through patient advocacy, surgical education and training, and population-based clinical research. Her work has been published in the British Medical Journal and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Canada.

    Kaylee is a Ph.D. Candidate in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Ottawa and a Scientific Illustrator/Graphic Designer with the OMIG Team.
